Well it's been awhile since I have blogged :)

I have recently returned home from a week of camp with the youth group from my church.  I feel that I grew so much just being a chaperone for the week.  We focused on the verse: "Be on your guard, stand firm in the faith, be courageous, be strong" 1 Corinthians 16:13.

God calls us to live an Audacious life.  Be bold for Him.  We continued to discuss this verse more each day and I was constantly reminded that we are to give everything to Him.  He has full control over our life  and our trust should always be Him.  No matter the circumstances.

There are so many terrible, sad events that go on in this world everyday but we are not to falter or lose hope.  God is in control.  He never leaves us nor forsakes us. (Hebrews 13:5)  What could be more comforting than God's promise? Take delight in it.  We can find joy in any situation when we know that the God of the universe declares this promise to us!

While at camp, the high school students worked at a school for adults with special needs.  These students go to school to learn basic skills and also spend part of their day working at various places in the community.  The moment I entered the school I just felt God tugging at my heart.  This environment is exactly what I have always felt like God has called me to work in.  It was so encouraging to spend time there each day.  We painted the gym, landscaping, and helped prepare for their upcoming school play.  I felt so blessed to have worked with them and it definitely inspired me to keep pursuing that dream of one day working in a faculty much like that one.
