Day 9 I am thankful for getting my report cards finished. It is the second year I have worked at this school ;however, its my first year in my own classroom and its overwhelming at times! I am so thankful for the people I have met through my job. I have a great time hanging out with them and they are so helpful when I feel totally inadequate!
Day 10 snow!!! I love love love snow! I think its one of God's greatest creations! I have always loved Gilmore girls and they of course love snow. I guess maybe thats partly where my love of it came from. Also growing up in the south and having zero snow as a kid, I feel that I am just making up for lost time :)
I am so thankful this work week is coming to an end! It has been crazy with report cards due and parent teacher conferences coming up. I am ready for the craziness to end for awhile! I have been looking all over pinterest for cute Thanksgiving ideas and I am excited to do some with my kids! As crazy as they can be sometimes, I love them and love when we get to do some special projects in class.
I also can not wait for the end of the work week because we are now in Basketball season, which means I see Drew for a very limited amount of time. Wedding plans are moving slowly just working on a caterer and then need to start on all the Do It Yourself crafts. I am super pumped to see how everything is going to come together at the end! And I of course am dying to wear my dress :)

I'm thankful for....
Well I'm wayyyy behind! So for November 6th, I am thankful for an amazing fiance who means the world to me! We have begun the exciting process of registry and it is so much fun! Its partly so fun because Drew cares and gets into it just as much as I do. He didn't complain one bit! We loved every minute of it!
Day 7, I am thankful for the blessings God has given us. He has blessed us with an awesome opportunity to live in a nearby condo. We were unsure of where we would be living after we got married and had been apartment shopping some. However, nothing seemed like home. Thankfully God blessed us with an awesome place to live!! We are so excited to move stuff in, start painting, and building our future home :)
Day 8, Work has been super stressful lately and its easy to let it take over my everyday life. Thankfully, I know that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. He is going to get me through this stress and craziness. He is with me every step of the way and I can be calm and have peace because I know he is going to provide and truly should we get caught up in little stuff??? No way. I'm here to glorify God and I am called to do that through the easy times and stressful times.

Thanksgiving #5
Today I am thankful for God's beautiful creation! I absolutely love fall. I love the color of the leaves, the crisp air, and knowing the Holiday season is right around the corner. It was beautiful today! God paints such an amazing picture. Just simply driving to the grocery store you see His amazing beauty.
On a side note, I participated in the first Women's Ministry cooking class today and it makes me so excited to be married and cook! I am blessed that Drew enjoys cooking and will eat anything so I know we will always be eating good. Now I am going to fill the little extra free time that I have (which seems like soon it will be zero free time) looking at recipes on Pinterest. Super fun! And tomorrow we register at Target so I can look at all the cool kitchen gadgets because I realized tonight I have very little knowledge on how to use most of it.

Thankful Thanksgiving
Well I wasn't able to blog yesterday so I thought I would do 2 in 1 blog today!
Yesterday I was thankful for sweet tea. Sounds pretty lame but after having a long day in first grade it was sooo refreshing to go to Chick-fil-a with Drew and sip on a nice sweet tea! I think a good sweet tea can brighten my day pretty quickly and yesterday needed that!
Today I am thankful for my job. I was blessed with a wonderful job last year at a local elementary school. I was able to meet some great people who are close friends now and this year my dream finally came true to have my very own classroom! And its a first grade classroom, which is my ideal grade to teach! As frustrating as some days can be I realize that many people these days are unemployed so its such a great blessing to have a job. I also am thankful because its a job I enjoy going to each day. Are there some days that are tougher to get out of bed than others? Of course but I never dread driving into work! Days like today show me how rewarding it can be. We had a vocabulary parade and it was so fun seeing the kids dress up and I even got into it too! I was "bubbles" and if I ever put my pictures on my computer I will have to blog one.

Thankful Thanksgiving
Well today is November 2nd, so it is time for another "What I am thankful for post".
Today I am thankful for amazing people in my life! Right now, my mom is ironing a pair of pants for me so I can be fresh and straight for work tomorrow. so thankful! About 30 minutes ago, Drew Clayton saved the day by fixing my iphone/ work email (and also brought me a Sprite to Bible Study). I would be lost without him! And to top off the night one of my bestest friends and her husband surprised me with Busken cookies ( Love Whitney and Charlie Rollins). I love Busken cookies! I have an amazing family, future husband, and friends. I am truly blessed!! I am sure this is not the last post about my family or Drew Clayton because I am sure I will brag on them again later this month (or this week haha)
P.S. I was informed by 1 of my Maids of Honor (AKA my younger sister) that our wedding day was wrong on my first post. Drew and I get married May 19, 2012. See I told you life was crazy!!

Nearly Newlywed
Well I've decided to give blogging another try. I started one awhile ago but was never super committed to it so I am going to try again!
I decided to title my blog Nearly Newlywed because I will be getting married May 20, 2012 and my life seems to be crazy busy with wedding planning, preparing for marriage, and teaching. I also thought it would be a great place to vent about frustrations in everyday life and the process.
Drew and I got engaged on September 3, 2010. It seems like we have been engaged for years but I also think we have learned so much in the past few months. I feel through this long engagement we have used the time to become more prepared for marriage.

Thankful Thanksgiving
During the month of November, I have decided to blog about 1 thing I am thankful for each day.
Today I am thankful for God's amazing grace. I fall short on a daily basis and He picks me up and carries me. I am undeserving and He loves me the same. Today, I realized how short I fall when at school my patience was shot very early on in the day. I was totally and completely dependent on Him to get me through the day. And so thankful He got me through it.
